自2026年8月19日起，多镜面X射线空间望远镜（XMM-Newton）正式启动第26次机会公告（AO-26），征集观测提案。

XMM-Newton项目与VLT、美国国家射电天文台（NRAO，即VLA、GBT、甚长基线[射电望远镜]阵（VLBA））、HST、韦布空间望远镜（JWST）、HESS和大型大气伽马射线成像切伦科夫望远镜（MAGIC）以及其他X射线任务（如Chandra、成像X射线偏振探测器（IXPE，新增！）、核分光望远镜阵（NuSTAR）、Swift和X射线成像与光谱任务（XRISM））开展联合计划。XMM-Newton项目还可能通过本次AO为这些设施分配观测时间。
